The In Betweenies

Well Hello,
Sorry I been away from the blog for a while, the clue is in the title...
We have been moving home, and are almost done now.
I will have more time from next week to start to update the blog with information and hopefully some inspiration, so please bear with me while we finish unpacking and sorting our last few boxes.
The lovely rose is from David Austin, and I have chosen it as the name of our new home is Rose Cottage.
I will be back soon - hope you are all almost ready for Christmas....
Regards
Tracy

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Halloween owls
Pumpkin themes squares for the block swap

Well it is that time of the year again, all things spooky are out and about. As I write this I am sat waiting for the little darlings to knock and relieve me of some sweeties.

I have been busy making some owls for Quay Arts, and some pumpkin themed squares for the block swap I have been involved in. If you are interested in the pattern it is a free one available from http://www.momsloveofcrochet.com/pumpkinafghanprintable.html
As the blocks have to be 6" square I have adapted the pattern slightly.

I have also been baking again - this time for the Cats Protection in Ryde, they had their Halloween party for the children on Tuesday. So spider topped Victoria Sandwich cakes were the order of the day and I just had to get my grotbags face on once more. They had a great turnout for the party, raising an amazing £287. That will help a lot of our feline friends.

That's all for now folks!

Happy Crafting!

Grotbags rides again!

Pam, at peace finally

In memory of Pam

Although this is normally a happy place to be I just wanted to share all that has been happening in my world recently.
Sadly on the 13th October Pamela Cooke, my mother in law passed away. She had been in Northbrooke House for the previous few weeks, once we became unable to care for her at home any longer. Dementia is a terrible disease, which robs the person of themselves before the body gives up.
I would like to thank all the staff at Northbrooke House, who made her last weeks comfortable, and the Alzheimer's Café IOW who have given us support and guidance for the last few years.

Live each day as if it is your last, and love those around you.

Upcoming workshops and a de-stash

What a week this has been, lots of upheaval going on.

Looking forward though I have put up a page which has details of future workshops and classes - this will  be updated regularly.

As some of you will know I am in the process of having to move home, this means that the time has come for the dreaded de-stash.... Great news for the removals men - one less van required! Also good news for you lovely people as I will be shedding my excess yarn/fibre/tool stash at Oliven in Newport. There is a flyer on the Sales page. Please come along and help me de-stash.

For those of you who came to my last class I have not forgotten the promise of a basic Granny Square pattern, including my method of turning the corner. I will be working on this tomorrow and will email you all over the weekend.

Hope to see you soon.

Hugs

Tracy

Welcome

Welcome to Craft Club – the only rule about craft club is we do talk about craft club…

I hope to help you with any questions that you have about knitting or crochet.

I will be loading up some how to sections with images, to guide you through some areas of crochet and knitting. If you would like to see something special then please just let me know.

I will also be sharing with you the projects I am working on, dates for classes and craft fairs.

Don’t be shy if there is anything you would like to ask, please get in touch. Remember that there are no silly questions – if you are wondering about something, then chances are someone else is too, so be brave and ask away.

Bye for now, I’ll be back soon
Tracy
